Brandon Pride is a non-profit, pro-reproductive rights, sex-positive, volunteer run organization; working to abolish the barriers queer people face while living in Brandon and the surrounding area. We create safe, accessible, community-based events for all ages and expressions of self.
Because you matter.
Our aim – regardless of sexual orientation and gender expression – is to create a community platform to educate the public about our culture, our place in society, our current issues of concern, promote safety, personal growth, mutual respect and pride for the diversity and vibrancy of our queer community.
To create opportunities for people to publicly connect with new and old friends in order to celebrate queer lives within Western Manitoba and our accomplishments as a community.
To become a city where queer bodies thrive as healthy, equal, and complete members of Brandon, Manitoba and the surrounding area.
While honouring and acknowledging we are in Treaty 2 territory and that the land on which we gather for Pride is the traditional territory of Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Assiniboine, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, and the homeland of the Métis Nation.
